The Alliance is in search of individuals who are interested in energizing young children to consider STEM careers. The “Think with Bink Stem Program” is held in the C. Burr Artz Library and Urbana Regional Library. There are sessions held in the summer and winter. “Think with Bink” is a partnership between Fort Detrick Alliance and the Frederick County Public Libraries.
There is no limiting criteria as to who can be a presenter: Adult researchers/scientists from Fort Detrick, college and high school students, teachers, parents, etc. What is critical is that the presenter develop a creative 20-30 minute program targeted at children in grades 1-5 that will engage their attention in STEM.
Wouldn’t it be great if we had so many speakers that we could expand the program.
Please share this information with others that you think would be interested in igniting a spark in our children that may carry forward to a career in a STEM program.
