Amanda has more than 20 years experience as a nonprofit professional with experience in communications, marketing, fundraising, event planning, public relations, and management.
In her career, Amanda has served as the assistant director at the Historical Society of Frederick County, the marketing manager at the National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, as marketing director of BlackRock Center for the Arts, and public relations specialist at the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown. Amanda has been instrumental in tourism marketing in the region and served for four years on the Tourism Council of Frederick County’s marketing and group sales committees.
As a writer and journalist, Amanda has had articles published in Frederick Magazine, Find It Frederick magazine, Eastern Home and Travel, the Baltimore Sun, and other regional publications.
She is active in the Frederick business community and has served on the board of directors for Celebrate Frederick and on the Marketing committee for the Tourism Council of Frederick County.
Amanda holds a Masters in Business Administration and a Masters in Management with a specialization in Marketing from University of Maryland Global Campus and a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Maryland College Park.
