February 22 Networking Breakfast

Join us at the February 22 Networking Breakfast featuring Dr. Pat Fitch, Director, National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center (NBACC) at Fort Detrick, Frederick, MD.

Networking - 7:30 a.m. with a full hot breakfast.

Program - 8:20 a.m.

The National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center (NBACC) has developed the science critical to defend the United States against bioterrorism. NBACC is the first laboratory built for Department of Homeland Security – a national resource to provide the scientific basis for characterization of biological threats and bioforensic analysis to support attribution of their planned or actual use.

The President and Congress have charged NBACC with research and development of technologies to protect the American public from bioterrorism. NBACC fills critical shortfalls in our scientific knowledge of the biological agents that could be used to cause the public harm. NBACC scientists are helping federal policy makers and leadership to answer critical questions for our nation’s security and provide the data required to support prevention, protection, mitigation, and recovery from current and future biocrime and bioterrorism threats. NBACC is managed by Battelle National Biodefense Institute (BNBI) as a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC),

Seating is limited and registration ends February 17.
