Gregory J. Davenport, Ph.D.
Board Member



Dr. Davenport is Managing Director of Tunnell Government Services in Bethesda, MD and previously served as President of a publicly traded biopharmaceutical company during his two decades of experience in all phases of biologics and drug development.

Dr. Davenport, who has lived in Frederick since 2001, joined the Board of the Alliance in 2009.

Dr. Davenport received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1990 from Dillard University and a Ph.D. in Molecular/Cellular Biology in 1998 from Howard University. He is a lifetime member of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA).

Dr. Davenport is the Cofounder and serves on the Board of Directors of NABB; Chairman of the Board of Directors of NanoVec, Inc.; and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dport and Associates, Inc.

He is a member of the Controlled Release Society, the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Society for Microbiology, the Academy of Advanced Sciences, and the National Defense Industrial Association.
